World Bishops' Council Mission

To provide a discussion forum for ecumenical Christian Bishops to share information and resources throughout the world.

To promote love, peace, and unity.

To promote unity within the Body of Christ.

To serve as a catalyst for information regarding education, governmental Affairs, ecclesiastical endorsements, educational, theological and WBC humanitarian efforts.


COMMISSION FOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS

Has a special mandate to give direction and to respond to its particular needs in the areas of management affairs.


COMMISSION FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE

To address the global social concerns and securing necessary expertise and participation to facilitate response


COMMISSION ON CHURCH AND ECUMENICAL RELATIONS

To continually develope and encourage ecumenical actions and activities. To host meetings promoting fellowship locally, nationally, regionally and internationally


COMMISSION ON EDUCATION

To promote inter-studies of theology and secular education including links between appropriate organizations, colleges, universities, schools and other participants. To provide opportunity for equal information and exchange of curriculum


COMMISSION FOR YOUTH

To formalize effective ways to address global youth concerns.
